We are disciples wanting to make other disciples! Please watch the short video in the link below. Salvation can be explained with 3 Circles. Jesus can help you recover from being broken!

Our own state is a mission field! The donations collected through the Tennessee Golden Offering stay in state to promote the work of the Lord. The second week of September is designated as time to pray for Tennessee Missions, and the month of September is the designated month to give. Donations can be contributed throughout the year, and a link has been placed below to the TBMB where you can give today. Walnut Grove also helps TN missions with our support of the backpack giveaways!
I am blessed to serve as Pastor of WGBC since January 2019. I have been called by God to preach the gospel, and Cane Creek Baptist Church ordained and licensed me as a Baptist minister. My wife and best friend, Erica, serves with me in the ministry of our Lord Jesus. We have been married since July 2006, and God gave us three wonderful children Luke, Deacon, and Lydie Turpin. I enjoy teaching, leading others to Christ, and helping others in need. I also enjoy playing golf, traveling with my family, and playing with my dog named Oreo.
Since 2014, I have been thankful to serve as the Youth Pastor at WGBC. I was ordained to preach the gospel ministry by Cedar Valley Baptist Church. God has blessed me with a wife and best friend, Tressa, and a daughter, Kaitlyn. My daughter lives in Nashville and is a law student. I love ministering to youth groups and going to conferences. My interests include blacksmithing, wearing Hawaiian shirts, and I am an Eagle Scout. Tressa and I have loved raising many great dogs. Right now, we have a hyper puppy named River, and we have a grand dog named Rhydian.
We believe in the power of God's love, the divinity of Jesus Christ, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We believe that by trusting in Jesus, we can live a life of purpose and meaning. We believe that the Bible is God's Word to humanity and it should be taught for correction of sins and it stands as doctrine in righteousness. We uphold the articles in The Baptist Faith and Message.
We believe that worship is a powerful way to connect with God and experience His presence in our lives. Our worship services are designed to be uplifting, inspiring, and centered around the mercy & hope we have in salvation through Jesus Christ.
We offer a variety of ministries and programs for people of all ages and backgrounds. Sunday school classes, prayer meetings, gospel singings, vacation bible school, Christmas dramas, local and foreign mission opportunities, backpack giveaways, and a blessing box with food & supplies.
